Relief payment: Government emergency relief payments for eligible people affected by the fires. Visit the FFH website for more info. To apply call the VicEmergency Hotline 1800 226 226 or visit an Emergency Relief Centre.

Local community services
Longer-term Volunteer and Equipment Register: The Castlemaine Community House, Harcourt Valley Community House, Harcourt Progress Association, Castlemaine Community Investment Co-operative, Castlemaine Lions Club, local Landcare groups, Connecting Country and others are coordinating this volunteer and equipment register to help longer-term bushfire recovery, including in the Harcourt Valley. People or organisations/groups can register their skills, time and useful equipment. These could be used in activities including clean up, workshops on insurance claims, fencing, repairs, re-vegetation, technology, rebuilding, or fundraising. Register here.
Harcourt relief: is getting organised with our recovery and people who are non residents and would like to offer goods and services can be given the email address harcourtrelief@gmail.com. We then have a facebook page these offers are being summarised and connected via that channel. Support offers can be agricultural services, paddocks for stock, fodder, housing (short and long), food, water, labour, cleanup services + anything else you believe is needed etc.
Castlemaine Recovery Hub: This week the Hub will be open Mon 12 - Fri 16 Jan, 11am - 5pm at Castlemaine Town Hall. The Recovery Hub will include a number of agencies and organisations that can assist you through the recovery process.
Showers: Dhelkaya Health have arranged access to showers at Camp Reserve, Forest St Castlemaine. Mon 12 Jan until 7pm, and Tue-Fri 8-10am and 3-6pm.
Accomodation: Visit the Emergency Recovery Centre at the Castlemaine Town Hall to speak to Dhelkaya Health housing team about your housing needs. Offers of housing you can email Courtney Stephens cstephens@castlemainehealth.org.au this week.

Castlemaine Meal Train: If you can make meals or if you need meals, please email castlemainemealtrain@gmail.com.
Castlemaine Safe Space: Open to anybody feeling distressed and wanting a quiet space to be or someone warm, caring and non-judgmental to talk. Visit their website or Facebook page for details.
Drop in centre and food pantry: Mon 12 - Fri 16 Jan and Mon 19 - Fri 23 Jan. 10am - 5pm at Castlemaine Church of Christ, 66 Blakely Rd Castlemaine.
Clothing and household items: The Good Op Shop, MAWWS Op Shop, and Castlemaine Salvos are offering free clothing and household items for those impacted by the fires.
